What is CryoIQ® PRO Cryosthetics?
CryoIQ® PRO is a medical device that uses a controlled jet of extremely cold nitrous oxide to freeze unwanted skin tissue. This process rapidly destroys the targeted cells, allowing the body to naturally remove them over time.
Because of its precision, CryoIQ® PRO is particularly suitable for treating small or delicate areas where accuracy is important.
What conditions can CryoIQ® PRO treat?
CryoIQ® PRO is used to treat a range of common benign skin lesions, including:

- Cherry angiomas
- Seborrhoeic keratoses
- Certain types of warts
For verruca-specific treatments on the feet, we may also recommend CryoIQ® PRO (Cryotherapy Treatment) or Swift® Microwave Therapy, depending on your needs.
How does CryoIQ® PRO treatment work?
During your appointment, the CryoIQ® PRO device is used to apply a precise jet of cold gas directly onto the lesion. This rapid freezing process causes the cells within the lesion to break down.
This process helps to:
- Destroy unwanted tissue safely
- Preserve the surrounding healthy skin
- Trigger the body’s natural healing response
Over time, the treated area will naturally heal and be replaced with healthy skin.
What does treatment feel like?
Treatment is very quick, often taking only a few seconds per lesion. You may feel a brief cold or stinging sensation during the procedure, but this passes quickly.
There is no need for injections or anaesthesia, and you can return to your normal activities immediately after treatment.
What happens after treatment?
Following treatment, the area may:
- Darken slightly
- Form a small scab
- Heal naturally over several days or weeks
This is a normal part of the healing process as your body removes the treated tissue.
Is CryoIQ® PRO safe?
CryoPen® is a safe and widely used treatment when carried out by a trained clinician. However, it is only suitable for benign, non-cancerous lesions.
